What a difference a week makes...

Lydia is almost 3 weeks old, but I finally have a few minutes to post a few photos of her at about a week old. She changes every day and is starting to look like a little lady!

I managed to capture this little moment that I love love love. For the first few days we were home with Lydia, Seth kept his distance and wasn't sure what this little noisemaker was doing in our house. He started warming up to her but was really acting out toward me. Through my tears, I thought, "Where, oh where, has my sweet little boy gone? Oh where, oh where can he be??" In just a few days I seemed to turn another 180 and he's back to his cute self, albeit with a few more outbursts than before. Seeing him love his sister makes me love him all the more.

And, we love reading stories with Seth, especially since now he can complete the sentences. He loves story time with Dad just before bedtime. His new favorite book is I Love You, Stinky Face and Does a Pig Flush? which sends us all into a fit of giggles. He picked it out himself at the library. Could he be telling us he's ready to flush (aka use the toilet)? *sigh* Am I ready for this?

I'm so glad there are some pictures to put to Lydia's name. She's looking like your mom, so she must have lots of taylor in her. She's a cutie! I can still remember bringing home Jake and wondering the same thing about Morgan...they change in the blink of an eye. Now they run around screaming and having a good time together...most of the time. I'm so glad you got help with your mantle, it looks GREAT! Keep posting..this is our only way to see your cute family grow! Love ya, KIM

Congratulations on your new little daughter. She's beautiful. Hang in there with the little guy. He's trying to find his place with a new little one in the house getting a lot of attention that used to be all his.

Hey Jen- Lydia is such a pretty little girl. Seth is so cute with her in that pic he is kissing her head. I'm glad to see some more updated pics. Your new and improved mantle/room looks awesome! I'm sure it has been great to have your parents there helping you! Are you feeling good, I'm sure it's anything better than you were before giving birth, right? Hope all is well, I love you, keep posting!!

I can totally relate to your feelings about Seth after Lydia was born. It's got to be hard for the older sibling to adjust when this new baby comes home and takes up so much time. But, I guess we've all survived it as kids, huh? And without siblings, we wouldn't get to witness precious moments like the one when Seth kissed Lydia.
